The opening was the scene – something funny happened there – a few people bumped into the light switch and – when the light dimmed – the reflection of the wings’ phosphoresence disappeared – it requires MASSIVE juice to light the pieces so that they mimic stained glass (as they are patterned to appear like church windows). Low light = dreary objects and a room lighting one of these works would kill any other artwork nearby – All about Hirst yet again !
