We went to artist Eric Zammit’s studio/house in Altadena and had a nice time. Eric has a show in NoCal later this month and it might have been our only chance to see his new work assuming it sells from the show. I took some of his pieces to Gallery C a few months ago but he had to pull two of them from our display racks to put in the Bay Area show.
Eric apologized for missing our November Roland Reiss show, explaining that it was the night his father passed away.
We all went out to dinner in Pasadena with DeWain Valentine and his wife, it is always a treat to hear stories about the 60s and 70s from someone who was there and has a dry lucidity as to what happened. DeWain’s stories are about what happened, not about what happened to him. A big difference, especially for art world types. Then I came home and found out that the Packers lost and will not be going to the Superbowl. Bummer.
